The Snake Castle is a late 12th-century castle in Turkey. Located on the Silk Road, Snake Castle was built by the Byzantines during the Crusaders in the Middle Ages. The structure, which is located on a rock, was a difficult castle to conquer with its extremely cleverly designed strong walls and portable stairs connecting the gates.
